The 20th-anniversary exhibition of the Seoul Museum of Art's Nanji Residency, 《The Origin of Love (AMOR EX MACHINA)》, is structured as a journey to look back on the meaning of love by borrowing the archetypes of old stories in an era where technology rewrites relationships.

Technology is no longer a tool placed outside of life, but has become an environment that conditions our senses and relationships.

We wake up to smartphone alarms, move along paths indicated by satellites, and spend our days encountering news selected by algorithms.

Within this, the ways we remember and form relationships are also changing.

The exhibition proposes that our destination amidst the changing landscape of technology lies in love, the sense that makes us human.
