COMPANY World Affair

The Helsinki-based design studio COMPANY has traveled the world for the past 20 years in search of unique manufacturing techniques and the local artisans who have preserved them.

Their exploration is a process of deeply understanding the cultures and people of unfamiliar lands and falling in love with the whole world, which is 'World Affair' itself.

The exhibition showcases the journey of intimate conversations and collaborations that the two artists have shared with makers from all over the world.

The exhibition unfolds the 'cycle of ideas' where inspiration gained on-site is realized through the hands of artisans via drawings, and the finished objects meet people in the market and spread out into the world.

By following the long journey of a single object from its birth to its encounter with the world, we invite you to feel the value of respect and affection contained in the artists' touch.
