Koohasanbang

Established in 1913, Guhasanbang was the first calligraphy shop in Korea and offers brushes, paper, ink, inkblots, and inkblots of various sizes and qualities.

The selection of over 1,000 calligraphy materials is staggering, ranging from learning brushes that cost less than 10,000 won to top-of-the-line Seoho pens that fetch millions of won.

Guhasanbang is said to have been a favorite of the late Emperor and Empress Sunzong, who supplied brushes to the palace.

'Guhasan' is the name of a mountain in Chinese mythology where nine gods commune.
