Cheongnyangni Traditional Market

Cheongnyangni Traditional Market became the first market in Seoul in 1964 when so-called "bundlesang" gathered around Cheongnyangni Station, which became a key point for material distribution and passenger transportation due to the operation of the Gyeongchun Railway and the opening of the Jungang Line.

In the 1970s, the commercial market district was expanded by covering Hongneungcheon Stream, which flowed in the Cheongnyangni area.
